Ms F. Costello

Fiona works on the EU Migrant Worker Project examining immigration matters in the UK post Brexit (particularly for EU citizens in the UK) and access to justice pathways for marginalized communities. Her work is part of a programme called ‘The UK in a Changing Europe’ (http://ukandeu.ac.uk), which is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council.

Alongside her academic work, Fiona also works for a charity in Norfolk called GYROS (www.gyros.org.uk) supporting refugee, asylum seekers and other migrant communities. 

Fiona is a Fellow and Tutor at St. Edmund's College, Cambridge. 

Fiona has written extensively on the topic of EU citizens in the UK and Brexit. Her work has been featured in The Independent, The Times, The Conversation and BBC News among others. She has given evidence to both the House of Lords, EU Affairs Committee and to Parliamentary Staff in the House of Commons on the topic of (EU) citizen’s rights. Her work has been cited in reports by both the UK House of Lords and the Welsh Parliament.  She also blogs on Brexit, mainly for the http://ukandeu.ac.uk/.

Fiona is also an Associate Lecturer at ARU (Cambridge), teaching EU Law, English Legal Systems and (LLM) Research Methods in Law.
