CV / Biography

Educated at Brasenose College, Oxford, (B.A., 1st class in Law, 1980; B.C.L., 1st Class, 1982), and a member of the teaching staff, Cambridge University since 1983.  Called to the English Bar in 1981; Bencher of Middle Temple, 2007, and a member of the American Law Institute. Also a Council Member of the International Association of Procedural Law.

With leading jurists, Neil Andrews collaborated in producing the AMERICAN LAW INSTITUTE/UNIDROIT's `Transnational Principles of Civil Procedure' (Cambridge UP, 2006) (project active 2000 to 2006).

Neil has recently given papers in Germany, Italy, Japan, France, Brazil, and the Netherlands.  He has acted as expert on aspects of procedure and contract law in transnational disputes centred in New York and Europe.
