For the first time last year, the Centre for European Legal Studies embarked on recording a large proportion of the seminars from the Weekly Seminar Series, and making them available to download or stream online.

The CELS lunchtime seminars address topical issues of European Union Law and Comparative Law, with a view to using collective debate as a forum for developing and disseminating ideas, and producing high quality research publications which contribute to an understanding of major issues in the European Union.  Subject to speaker consent, the lecture component for each seminar was made available on the University of Cambridge Streaming Media Service (SMS) and the Apple iTunes U platforms.

Since the launch in mid-October, CELS is delighted to announce that the seminars have been extremely popular - being accessed more than 18,000 times.   The final details of the upcoming Michaelmas Term programme are being finalised now.

You can play the 'CELS Lunchtime Seminar Series' on iTunes U, or subscribe to the series for automatic download to your iTunes library (PC/Mac, iPod, iPad or iPhone).  The Streaming Media Service provides access to other formats, or an RSS feed is available from the SMS for subscription on other devices.
