Among the delegation were Advocate General Eleanor Sharpston, a former member of the Law Faculty and Judge Christopher Vajda, the UK member of the Court and an alumnus of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.

The Chair of the Faculty, Professor Eilis Ferran introduced a seminar organised by the Centre for European Legal Studies (CELS) with contributions by Professor John Spencer, Professor Catherine Barnard and a doctoral student Estelle Wolfers. The seminar was closed with remarks by CELS Director and Professor of European law, Kenneth Armstrong who reminded the audience of the important connections between Cambridge and the Luxembourg-based court, including the first UK judge to be appointed to the Court, Lord Mackenzie-Stuart, an alumnus of Sidney Sussex College.
