CELS Workshop on Revision of the EU Data Protection Directive

The first high level meeting to discuss the Commission’s new proposals on data protection took place in Cambridge on 20 April 2012. Attracting data protection experts from across Europe, including the European Data Protection Supervisor and representatives from the European Commission and the Council of Europe, a lively discussion took place considering issues on harmonisation, supervision, enforcement and fundamental rights. CELS was proud to host the seminar, in conjunction with CELS’ visitor, Christopher Kuner, and with the kind support of Hunton & Williams LLP.
